I live in a high-rise condo and would like to setup the outdoor light strip in my balcony. Problem is, I get very poor wifi signal when I am standing outside my balcony. I have tried wifi range extenders but no luck since the exterior of my building blocks signals significantly. So does this mean that I will have a hard time using the light strip since it cannot connect to my hue bridge? What are some solutions for these outdoor products as I believe most customers would have a hard time getting a decent wifi signals outside of their house?
Depends how far away it is. If you have other Hue bulbs this will help, Hue uses ZigBee creating its own network mesh, so if you have another Hue bulb in-between your bridge and your light strip, then this will help extend the network making it easier to connect.
