    Hi,

I’m new to the philips hue community and one things annoys me the most are people turning the switch off. I mean I cant blame them. What a friend of mine did was to eliminated the switch by connecting the 2 wires behind it directy (hot wire to the load wire and put a blank wall plate to cover it then he put the philips dimmer switch on top of it. He didnt have any problems anymore and it looked clean. What i wanted to ask is, is is safe to do what he did?

    Your thoughts are much appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Leandro

I’m not an electrician so cannot say if this is safe.

How a quick and easy solution is to put a switch cover over the switch like the ones you can see here – https://huehomelighting.com/philips-hue-light-switch-covers-and-plates/
